| Services |
| |
| Cincinnati Art Galleries buys
and sell paintings, pottery, art glass, and contemporary arts &
crafts furnishings at our gallery location in downtown
Cincinnati, by phone, mail or fax, and through our web site. We
also seek the above listed items as consignments for auction or
retail sale. Books and catalogs are available to both retail and
wholesale customers. |
| |
  |
| |
Our contacts in the art world
are fairly extensive so individuals and parties interested in
buying works created by a particular artist or in a certain
classification can ask for our assistance.
|
| |
We also provide appraisal
services, both informal and written (for insurance and estate
purposes). There is no charge for verbal appraisals for
paintings we see in person but we do
assess a fee for written appraisals based on time spent by our
staff. Good photographs or images sent via
e-mail in jpeg format are most helpful. Images of signatures on
paintings and pottery as well as dimensions, framing information
(ex. "under glass"), notations, and other relevant descriptive
information is generally necessary for our staff to be able to
accurately determine the value of your piece or pieces.
