John Rettig
(American, 1855-1932)
John Rettig was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1855. Much of his life was spent in Holland, among the fishing villages. He also decorated and modeled Rookwood pottery. Afterwards he painted theatrical scenery; produced pageants in Cincinnati and NYC; and went to North Africa, Mexico, and the Southwest.
